We’re always told how important it is to get to know ourselves before getting to know someone else. For obvious reasons like to avoid getting our hearts broken in the process or weakening our individuality by being easily influenced by another force. Yes, this is very sound advice, but there are those who come into our lives and help us undiscover a part of us we never knew existed. The first thought might be, how can it possibly be healthy to allow ourselves to be that vulnerable when we were probably vulnerable in some way to begin with. But, sometimes the universe subliminally sends what you need when you need it, and sometimes this is in the form of a stranger.
So, no, actively seeking someone to provide you with some eureka moment about yourself and your worth is a negative implication in itself. Clearly, this is not as black and white as we would like it to be but the universe has a way of making you know when someone is enriching to your soul and calming to your heart. You’ll know. It might not happen in the moment, but instead, after they exit our life and you look back. You’ll see where they contributed to your growth. Sometimes, that’s a stranger’s sole purpose for entering into your life. And sometimes, they leave when their purpose has been fulfilled. They’ll be gone but the knowledge they imparted on us will resonate.
